On Film: Andrea Arnold Interviewed by Glenn Brown: The Brown Collection, London

Projects

Join us for On Film, an exclusive interview where artist Glenn Brown converses with British filmmaker Andrea Arnold, held at The Brown Collection.

Celebrated for her unfiltered and deeply personal approach to filmmaking, Arnold takes centre stage in this in-depth conversation. Her films dissolve the boundaries between gritty social realism and lyrical, sensory storytelling, immersing viewers in the textures of everyday life. Focusing on young people, women, and those on the margins, she brings overlooked landscapes to life, weaving recurring threads of longing, limitation and the untamed beauty of the natural world.

A rare chance to hear Arnold in discussion with a practitioner from another artistic field, offering a fresh perspective on her approach to storytelling, visual composition and the materiality of cinema. The discussion will explore the interplay between film and the visual arts and the ways cinema can engage with contemporary social issues.
