Glenn Brown creates highly detailed, virtuosic paintings that incisively appropriate famous works by masters from Fragonard and Rembrandt to Auerbach. Nominated for the Turner Prize in 2000, Brown has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Serpentine Gallery, London, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna and Tate Liverpool.
Curator of the Kunsthaus Zürich and Editor-in-Chief of Parkett, Bice Curiger was also Visual Arts Director of the Venice Biennale 2011. She has recently curated ‘Riotous Baroque – from Cattelan to Zurbaran’, which juxtaposes contemporary art with old masters and will be shown next year at the Guggenheim, Bilbao.
